Kenneth's Reflection

Firstly, I would like to say that this trip has been a very memorable trip. Right from the start doing all the pre-trip stuff like journal, T-shirts, name cards and name tags to the preparation for the final presentation, it is a full one month plus of hard work. But I guess the hard work has all paid off with the success of the Final Presentation.

I did not have a really good impression of china at first, with friends and relatives saying all the negative things about the place. But after the trip, my impression had been changed. In fact, I would really want to have a chance of working there, but of course, I’ve gotta improve my Chinese. I think it’s a place full of opportunities but of course not forgetting the shrewd Chinese. When venturing into china, we must be really careful and alert so as to not fall into their trap.

The networking dinners have exposed me to something new. I remember the first networking dinner, I couldn’t eat much as I dare not eat and talk at the same time. Each time I tired to pick up some food, a guest would start talking, trying to be respectful, I put down my chopsticks to listen to what they say, and the worst of all, they never stop talking. In the end we left without eating much. But as the days go by, I’ve learnt to eat more at networking meals. By the last networking meal at Hong Kong, we felt very easy at the dinner table. Things went on so well that we were even treated to dessert by our guest. =P

Being on this trip has allowed me to get to know a lot of wonderful people. Although every one of us has a different character, we still managed to click. There weren’t any major problem throughout the trip, i guess this the result of the QC before the trip ba.

Last but not least, I would like to thank the school for allowing me to go on this interesting journey, Ms Tay, Mr Wong and Mr Lau make their own personal sacrifices to plan and guide us through, and each and every one in the class for your cooperation throughout the 10 days. From here, I wish everyone all the best in future.
